style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">9 Study Days over 12 weeks<br>One week block at College<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">(Monday-Friday 0900-1600 Sighthill Campus)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"> Four additional study days at an NHS Lothian training facility (one study day per week 0900-1600)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Personal Study: approximately 20 hours over the course.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:25%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nomination and application form to be completed by manager and emailed to <a href=\"mailto:loth.npaskillsforpractice@nhs.scot\">loth.npaskillsforpractice@nhs.scot<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Units of study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The award consists of three units:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Person Centred Approach to Care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safe Practice in Care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical Caring Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assessments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To evidence the course outcomes for the PDA students must undertake the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completion of NPA Record of Learning and competencies relevant to their clinical area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 extended answer questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Case study and questions relevant to clinical areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A reflective account evaluating your communication skills when supporting others (750-1000 words)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be an expectation that staff participating in the course will be supervised\/ mentored in practice and that work based competences will be area specific and existing competences can be utilised with the course providing the underpinning knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning outcomes and objectives are fairly wide that are an education outlines which can be adapted to provide tailored education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any queries please contact
