On completion they will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Describe the relationship of professional accountability to ear irrigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outline the basic anatomy of the ear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describe common ear problems and the contraindications\/cautions to irrigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain a relevant history and perform an ear examination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discuss the complications of ear irrigation, and the prevention or management of these.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain the maintenance of equipment in relation to infection control and health and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information contact: <a href=\"mailto:loth.clinicalskillstraining@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk\">loth.clinicalskillstraining@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This course is delivered in person whereby completion of the course requires completion of clinical competencies.
