pathway<\/mark>,<strong>&nbsp;RN\/RM\/ODP Clinical Induction<\/strong> follows Corporate Induction&nbsp;(Monday and Tuesday) and takes place on <strong>Wednesdays and Thursdays<\/strong>&nbsp;of induction week 1 (please see <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.nhslothian.scot\/induction\/pathways-of-corporate-induction\/\">Pathways of Corporate Induction \u2013 Induction<\/a>).<br><br>NHS Lothian<strong> RN\/RM\/ODP Clinical Induction <\/strong>is a collaborative programme for\u202f<strong>Registered Nurses<\/strong> (Adult Health, Mental Health, and Learning Disabilities), <strong>Operating Department Practitioners<\/strong> and <strong>Registered Midwives<\/strong>, in both primary and secondary care settings, who join NHS Lothian as new employees or have recently qualified as registered practitioner.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>This interactive, engaging two-day programme aims to promote integration and a sense of belonging within the wider clinical NHS Lothian team. This programme is <strong>generic<\/strong>* and covers a wide range of topics which have been requested and agreed by Clinical Service Leads and have relevance for <strong>newly<\/strong> registered practitioners and registered practitioners <strong>new<\/strong> to NHS Lothian. It provides participants with an <strong>introduction to relevant clinical elements, key issues, services, contacts, and resources<\/strong>.<br><br><sub>*<em>A role-specific period of induction in the new staff member\u2019s workplace will be defined to meet individual needs for the role they will be undertaking. Please refer to the standard document <mark style=\"background-color:#E3EDFF\" class=\"has-inline-color has-standard-black-color\">&#8216;Corporate and Clinical Induction for Newly Recruited Nurses and Midwives, Newly Qualified Registrants and New to Lothian&#8217;<\/mark> (Nursing and Midwifery Induction Agreement, V1.1,<\/em> available on the Intranet).&nbsp;<\/sub><br>&nbsp;<br>Facilitated by CET Clinical Educators, the programme content will be presented by specialist practitioners based within Clinical Services and CET Clinical Educators.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Both days are usually hosted face-to-face <strong>fortnightly<\/strong> (and during the annual intake of newly qualified registered practitioners <strong>weekly<\/strong>) in the Comely Bank Centre, Western General Hospital or St. John&#8217;s Hospital. Lothian Buses 19, 24, 29, 37 and 38 stop outside the CBC (stop &#8216;Comely Bank Cemetery&#8217;) as well as the WGH (stops &#8216;Western General Hospital&#8217; and &#8216;West Woods&#8217;) and there is a 38 bus stop in the WGH between Anne Ferguson Building (AFB) and Royal Victoria Building (RVB).<br><br><strong>At St. John&#8217;s Hospital (SJH), only permit holders can access on-site staff car parking. <\/strong>Without permit, staff parking is available in a designated area next to Livingston Football Club. A minibus shuttle service will operate 0600-1000 and 1600-2100 Monday to Friday. SJH pick up and drop off point will be at Car Park C Area (Maternity Car Park and right beside OPD1).
