There are a variety of resources which you may find useful in relation to practice education:
Campaign for Learning opens a new window | A useful resource for all grades of staff. |
Flying Start opens a new window | A fantastic resource aimed at newly qualified practitioners. It was developed by NES to provide support for AHP’s, Nurses and Midwives in their first year of practice. This is available for all staff across Scotland and there is the expectation that all new staff to the NHS will complete this programme. You must register on the Home and require an ATHENs user name and password for this. Although it is aimed at new staff there is a huge amount of information on this site which would benefit more experienced staff. The site covers the following: Communication Clinical Skills Team working Safe Practice Research for practice Equality and Diversity Policy Reflective Practice Professional Development Career Pathways Staff who are more than one year post qualification can still use this as long as they do not register . You can enter either by the main site or click on any of the topic areas above. You can also register as a mentor. |

Supporting Students:

Turas ‘Being and Becoming a Practice Educator’ Module opens a new window | The aim of this programme is to support practice educators to take on the role of supporting student learning through their practice based learning experiences. Aimed at new and existing Allied Health Professional (AHP) practice educators.
