We are excited to announce that NHS Lothian has introduced a new eRostering and communications app called ‘Loop’.
This will replace the current Employee Online (EOL) and Me App utilised by services implemented on HealthRoster and Bank Staff.
Loop is a brand-new app for health and care workers that allows them to stay connected with their workmates, stay in the loop with the latest news from NHS Lothian and be in full control of their work life.
The new app allows you to view substantive and bank shifts in the same place, view annual leave entitlement and request leave, get in touch with colleagues in your team and much more.

- Request duties (and swapping of duties available in a future release)
- Overall, manage work-life admin anytime and anywhere
- No need to share personal contact details to connect with colleagues

Loop allows teams and departments to connect and keep up to date with what is happening in their departments. It can be accessed via the web, or you can down download the Loop app to your personal or work mobile.
Loop will fully replace Employee Online (EOL) so all users will require to transition over to Loop by 1st September 2025.
