Bodyguard T Syringe driver

There are two courses available for this training, one for those working in Community areas and one for those in Acute Hospitals. If you are unsure if this training would suit you, contact the course administrator at loth.clinicalskillstraining@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk.

This educational programme is for registered practitioners and has been designed to provide registered nurses with the knowledge required to safely and effectively set-up and monitor a subcutaneous infusion via the Bodyguard T syringe pump, for use in palliative care.

Intended Audience

The programme is aimed at NHS Lothian nurses working within Community areas/Acute Hospitals. It is also available to nurses requiring additional training/support to competently set up and monitor these infusions.

Learning Outcome

To prepare Registered Practitioners for safe preparation and administration of medicines via Bodyguard T syringe driver.
