This 1 day update on gender based violence and routine enquiry into domestic abuse aims to further enhance midwives knowledge around this emotive subject and also covers human trafficking and trauma informed practice.

Community midwives and hospital based midwives in NHS Lothian who have completed the initial training day
This interactive study day includes pre-course learning, in person lectures and videos, activities and discussions with colleagues in a safe space.
Learning outcomes

- Understand women want to be heard, not fixed.
- Develop your role as a health professional in relation to domestic abuse.
