The aim of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to manage emergencies in pregnancy and childbirth in an emergency department setting.

Emergency department nurses and medical staff.
This study day comprises of pre-course learning, face to face lectures, videos and interactive workshops
Learning outcomes
- Develop an understanding of the physiological processes that can lead to emergencies in pregnancy and childbirth
- Practice the immediate management of emergencies in a simulated clinical setting.
