The course is an instructor led training session in the confident use of BSOTS in obstetric triage and assessment. It is an interactive session with PPP, video and small group discussion with practice scenarios.
Target staff group
Health care support workers, midwives and obstetricians who provide care to women in obstetric triage or those who are rotating there in the future.
The aim of this training is to enable staff to confidently use BSOTS within their triage department.
This is achieved by:
- Exploring the principles of triage
- Explaining what the BSOTS bundle is and how it works
- Gaining practical experience of using BSOTS by practicing some scenarios
