Workshops
The NHS Education for Scotland (NES) Facilitation of Learning programme is a blend of self-directed and facilitated learning consisting of two parts:
- Completion of Units 1 – 4 of the NES Facilitation
of Learning programme accessed via TURAS Learn - Interactive workshops in-person
The programme introduces learning theories and education principles that should be considered when supporting adult
learning and development. It supports an evidenced based approach to a variety of education roles, including preceptorship, practice and professional supervision and patient education.
Audience
For health and social care workers with a role in facilitating learning in the workplace.
For example, Registered Nurses, Midwives, AHPs, HCSWs currently involved in supporting education and learning, and non-clinical colleagues involved in teaching/training clinical staff – who have no formal academic education / teaching preparation.
