Learning disability

A learning disability affects the way a person learns new things. It starts before adulthood and affects a person’s development.

A person with a learning disability may need help to understand information, learn skills and live a fulfilling life. They may have healthcare needs and require support to communicate.

MENCAP’s video talks about what learning disability means to people with learning disabilities and their families.
