Experiencing  Workplace  Concerns

Speak UP Service

We are a confidential service made up of NHS Lothian staff who have undertaken specific training to become Speak up Advocates for anyone who works (or has worked) in NHS Lothian that has a concern. This includes employees, bank workers, agency and locum staff, students, trainees, self employed staff working for and supervised by NHS Lothian, volunteers and anyone working within or supplying services to NHS Lothian premises. if your concern relates to whistleblowing, this service also covers primary care.

What For?

This is a signposting service for any concern you may have. All of the Speak Up Advocates and Ambassadors act as the board confidential contacts for the bullying and harassment policy.

In addition, if you think your concern might relate to whistleblowing the Speak Up Ambassadors can explore with you your options to raise a concern, and if this results in a concern being raised under the whistleblowing standards the ambassadors can provide support during the investigation process.
