Aim of the session 

Please be advised that this is no longer a two-day course. We will only go ahead with Day 1 focuses on human rights and aims to provide participants with an understanding of the foundations and principles of human rights law as well as how to recognise and put them into practice.

What participants will gain from the session

  • Understand the principles and legal frameworks underpinning human rights and children’s rights. 
  • Apply the fundamental human rights principle of proportionality to their work.
  • Understand the relevance of human rights to healthcare and organisational practice. 
  • Identify the human rights and responsibilities that are relevant to individual practice.
  • Apply a rights-based practice within everyday practice.
