- Staff Bank Staff – the staff bank will have given you a deadline to complete all your learning by. Once you have completed the learning, please email Staff Bank with your LearnPro Certificates to staffbank.probation@nhs.scot
- Non Staff Bank Staff – you must complete the core mandatory modules in LearnPro within your first week of employment. You have 12 weeks (your probationary period) to complete the others. Once complete please notify your line manager so they can check for accuracy and completion.
LearnPro
LearnPro is a learning platform that you will use throughout your career with NHS Lothian. It is your responsibility to keep your modules up to date and do the relevant ones for your role. Your manager will be able to give you guidance with this.
- If you already have an NHS Lothian LearnPro account, you do not need to create another. You can use your existing account.
- If you are transferring to Lothian, from another health board, click this link- Transfer LearnPro Account to Lothian this will give you a step by step guide. We do not accept learning from other health boards, only Lothian.
- If you have a LearnPro Community account, unfortunately, we do not accept learning from it, only modules completed on an NHS Lothian LearnPro account. Please create a new account.

TRAK
Trak Training update – eLearning modules & virtual learning sessions
1. eLearning Modules
The following courses are available on LearnPro as a temporary alternative to face to face or virtual training:
- Trak Rapid Induction Ward Nurses/CSWs
- Trak Rapid Induction for Doctors
- Trak General Enquiries
- Trak Rapid Induction for Student Nurses
There is an assessment at the end of each course. You will need to pass the assessment to request your Trak account. To request your Trak account, log a call on Service Now, attaching your signed network form (available from the NHS Lothian Intranet) and learnPro certificate.
2. Virtual learning sessions
Courses are now being delivered using Microsoft Teams, initially as 1 to 1 or small group sessions. A reduced number of courses are available to book and these will increase in the coming weeks.
Places are available to book on eESS. Search for the Virtual Learning course (e.g. eHealth Trak for General Enquiries Virtual Learning).
