Frequently Asked Questions

The timetable states virtual, does this mean I need to come in or access from home?

Induction is running in a hybrid way at present. Some aspects will be om MSTeams and can be accessed where is best for you for example at home. There are some elements of clinical induction/ manual handling that are face to face so please ensure you check your timetable.

I do not have access to equipment to undertake induction, what can I do?

If you have no equipment (Laptop, headphones etc.) for undertaking induction, please contact the Education Enquiries Admin team: loth.corporateinduction@nhs.scot

The team can arrange a space for you at The Comely Bank Centre to undertake induction.

I need to change my date of induction, who do I contact?

How do I organise my uniform?

You can access the forms from the induction page. You should contact your line manager in advance of starting to complete these forms and book your appointment for the uniform room.

I haven’t received my pin and will be working as a Band 4 until I do, can I still attend?

You can still attend if you are awaiting your nursing pin number.

TRAK training, do I need to attend?

If you are a hospital ward based registered nurse there will be TRAK training on the Friday of induction. If you are not a registered nurse and/or hospital based your line manager will need to organise TRAK training for you which can be done via: ehealth.trainingteam@nhs.scot

MS Teams link, how do I join on Day one?

You will receive an email with the link for the first day in your induction confirmation the week before you are due to begin induction.
